Your Chance to be a MVP!

Dick's Sporting Goods, a partner of Weaver Athletic Association, is providing an opportunity for your child to win MVP.  Dick's Sporting Goods has a national contest that you can send in videos of your child's "mvp" moment.  Dick's will post the best videos and consumers can vote on their top pick.  Weekly winners are eligible for a grand prize.

The weekly winners receive a cash gift and the Association of their choice receives a gift as well.  Weekly winners are then eligible for a grand prize.  The grand prize is tickets to a major related sporting event, i.e. the Super Bowl or World Series.  Related videos should be submitted during their sports season.  For example, Dick's would currently be receiving basketball MVP moments.

Please Donate Your Used Sporting Goods Equipment!

Jason Skolnick is collecting used and unwanted sports equipment for donation!

Jason is a participant in several WAA sports and is leading a community service project that involves donating sporting goods and equipment to community organizations and kids in need.

If you are cleaning out your garage, don’t just trash that old equipment, please donate!!!

If you have any basketballs, baseball / softball gloves, cleats, baseball / softball bats, footballs, soccer balls, golf equipment, fishing rods, or just about any other sports equipment (gear must be in good, usable condition), please drop off anytime at 16106 Founders Bridge Court, Midlothian, VA 23113 and leave in the bin on the front porch.

Please make all donations by March 10, 2012.  In early Spring 2012, donations will be made to different organizations such as the Richmond YMCA, Boys & Girls Club of Richmond, Richmond Parks & Recreation, First Tee Richmond / Chesterfield and the Blue Sky Fund.
